Job Description: This person will be responsible for buying, planning, vendor negotiations and selection, marketing, site merchandising and customer experience. He or she will be responsible for driving the top and bottom line and optimizing all aspects of the category P&L by delivering rapid selection expansion, smart pricing, managing in-stocks, inventory control, driving continual supply chain improvements and delivering top notch customer experience.
Applicable experience in the following areas strongly preferred: • Managing a team in a fast paced environment • Ownership of a P&L, defining and launching categories, vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, in-stock management, product development, and web-site experience. • Operating successfully in a lean organization and also be able to create a vision that can scale with growing volume. • Building Process Improvement. As a growing category, a candidate must be able to invent and drive continuous process improvement and automation across our systems (ie. in item setup, vendor management, pricing, etc.).
Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in senior-level vendor relations and negotiations, planning, forecasting, driving a full P&L, team building and management, merchandising and all aspects of e-commerce retail. Candidate should have a passion for the role and product, and enthusiasm for team leadership and development. The Senior Manager is one of the key advocates for the customer within BikeBandit.com -- setting the vision for the store, our selection, pricing and overall customer experience -- and as such must be able to articulate and advocate initiatives for business and customer experience improvement and work with other teams within BikeBandit.com to implement new features and functionality that will move the business forward.
The ideal candidate will exhibit sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills as well as a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results. The position requires demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and strong writing and speaking skills. In addition, the ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, data driven, self-starting, and comfortable with business software, such as Excel, Access and PowerPoint. BA/BS Preferred. 8+ years of relevant work experience required – eCommerce preferred. |
